New blog and an idea

So I love guns. Big ones, small ones, guns the size of your face. So here is my gun blog. I am a family man, I have a loving wife with three kids and one on the way. I have a hard time finding time and money to spend on my gun passion.

Long before I was married a bought my first Glock from my cousin. He was getting married and his wife to be was not a fan of guns so he needed to unload it. I bought it and loved it like it was a small child. It was my first real pistol. It was a Glock 22 shooting the 40 cal round. I did have a H&R .22 that I bought with High School graduation money. But this Glock was REAL. I could hold it sideways like a gangster and look awesome. The first time I shot it was on an old dirt road at the end of town. I wanted to get the feel of it and hear how loud it was. It shot great and was real loud leaving my ears ringing for a day.

I took some time off from guns. I move to a non gun loving place a dark place called New Jersey. We were there for shy of three years and I never new that having my Glock was illegal. I found out that I was supposed to surrender my Glock to the local police dept so they could run a back ground check on me. This could have taken up to 6 months. Then I would have to pay to get my Glock back. Can you believe that?   I never did any of this and I never would have. New Jersey is stupid. Don't go there.

I am back in Utah now, where I grew up, where my father took me shooting and I will take my sons shooting. I sold my Glock a few years ago when we were low on funds. I hated doing it but we needed to pay the bills.  I now have a Walter PK380 and a Walther p22.  I don't think I could have bought a more different gun going from a Glock 22 to a Walther PK380, but I wanted a gun that fit into my budget and something I could conceal carry and still pack a punch with out being too small. Go out and hold a Walther and tell me that it doesn't feel good in your hand.

More later.  - JMK
